Explore the Gold Coast’s National Parks
On top of spectacular white beaches, world class dining and award winning theme parks, the Gold Coast also lays claim to some of the most beautiful National Parks in the country. Here are just three within easy reach of our Broadbeach holiday apartments.
Springbrook National Park
2720 hectares of protected rainforest, rivers and eucalyptus forest make up the stunning Springbrook National Park, just a short drive from our resort. Pick one of the many meandering hiking trails to explore and discover ancient trees, cascading waterfalls and thick vegetation teeming with life.
Burleigh Head National Park
Situated between Surfers Paradise and Coolangata, this popular park offers stunning coastal views, scenic peaceful spots and a chance to spot some of our most beautiful native wildlife in its natural habitat. Sea eagles are regularly spotted soaring above the ocean in spring and the nests of Australian Brush Turkeys can be seen scattered throughout the park. During whale-watch season, you have a good chance of catching a glimpse of humpback whales from Tumgun lookout.
Tamborine National Parks
Directly west of Surfers Paradise, Tambourine National Park is one of the highlights of the Gold Coast hinterland, boasting dense, wet eucalyptus forest, piccabeen palm groves and towering waterfalls. It’s an excellent place to bird watch, with frequent sightings of the rare Albert lyrebird and the noisy pitta. Pack a picnic and set out on one of the many walking trails that weave across the park – don’t forget your binoculars!
