You’ll have many options from the 50 brewers the 2022 Crafted Beer and Cider Festival offers, whether you’re a beer expert or a rookie to nectar. One of these is the Manly-based 4 Pines Brewing Co.
4 Pines Brewing Co.
A father and son’s casual conversation in the heart of a neighbourhood that enjoys beer gave birth to 4 Pines. That was back in 2006, and a lot has changed since their first microbrewery in Manly opened. Try out their Core Range selections or their new Barrel Aged beer type. Don’t pass up the opportunity if you see them selling their Limited Release line, where their brew team lets their imaginations run wild.
Burleigh Brewing Co.
Since starting Burleigh Brewing in 2006, Peta and Brennan have amassed a workforce of more than fifty people, and the two of them have combined to take home numerous honours for both business and brewing. Make sure to try their products, too.
Their non-pasteurized beers are suitable for vegans. They don’t utilise preservatives, rice, or corn in their brews. No harmful additives like GMOs, finings, pre-isomerized hop products, foam enhancers, or terrible chemicals shouldn’t be in beer.
Yoyogi Brewing Co
The creators had the inspiration while having dinner in Japan. Could they make a beer using fresh Australian and new world ingredients? Could they create beers and ciders that would go wonderfully with their favourite dishes at Asian and Japanese restaurants back in Australia? They did!
Japanese and Australians make up the team. All of them are followers of the emerging craft beer culture in both of their nations. So please don’t pass up the opportunity to sample their products. Both the names and the graphics on their beer cans are charming. Pocky Porter, Watermelon XPA, Seaweed Scotch Ale, and other beers are available.
There will, of course, be something for your inner foodie. Eat from the vast range of food trucks and gourmet treats that go best with beer.
Festival Band Lineup
At the 2022 Crafted Beer and Cider Festival, you’ll be breaking a move with a beer in your hand. Be aware that Saturday is for indie rock partygoers, while Sunday is relaxed acoustic and rhythm-infused vibes.
Beatnik DJs will perform on both days. But on Saturday, welcome Brisbane singer-songwriter Hallie and The Steele Syndicat. The following acts are the surf-rock duo Debbies, Brisbane’s rising grunge stars Melaleuca, Sydney’s retro soft-rock sweethearts Big Wheels, and indie rockers Electric Church.
Drift off to Byron Bay’s Bobby Alu’s soothing beats on Sunday. The raw and gritty brass from the local GC collective Heavy Wax, some electro-pop bliss from Brisbane’s JUNO, and the melodic sounds of alt-folk duo Make The Moon round out the lineup for the GC’s best Sunday session. The velvety smooth vocals of Brisbane native Hollie Joy round out the bluesy-rock one-person band Jason Delphin.
