Melbourne Cup 2019 at GCCEC
Starting November with a bang is the annual Melbourne Cup, the famous “race that stops the nation” at the Flemington Racecourse in Victoria. On the day of the big race this year, the Queensland Gold Coast won’t hold back on the action with the return of Melbourne Cup Day Lunch at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
Just a 10-minute walk away from our central Broadbeach apartments, attend this popular event to see all the racecourse action live on a big outdoor screen. GC50 2019
The summertime weather provides the best reason to get active and take on a challenge, and this summer, you can join thousands on a huge run across the scenic Gold Coast with GC50 Run Festival 2019.
GC50 is open to all ages and capabilities with various running distances from 15km to 50km, including several relay events and short 5km beach runs for kids. Round up some friends and pick a distance, with aid stations to keep you going as you pass breathtaking coastal scenery in Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Coolangatta. All participants will receive a 2019 certificate and finishers medal with live entertainment, food and drinks to enjoy after race completion.

Following a huge event last year, the 2019 Broadbeach Christmas Carols will invite all and sundry for a memorable Christmas singalong along Kurrawa Beach – one of the Gold Coast’s most famous beaches. Join a warm gathering on the sand for this atmospheric carol singalong, which comes with live performers on stage, beachfront food vendors and stalls, and a number of kids attractions to enjoy before the carolling commences.
